Zlatan Ibile Opens Up: “I Quit Smoking Four Years Ago”

Popular Nigerian rapper, Temidayo Omoniyi, better known as Zlatan Ibile, has revealed that he quit smoking about four years ago.

The Bolanle hitmaker made the disclosure during an interactive session with fans on Snapchat, after one follower asked if he still smoked.

Zlatan, who is now a father of one, explained that he constantly gets questions about his smoking habits but made a firm decision to stop years back.

“A day can’t pass without someone asking me this question. Yes, I quit smoking 4 years ago. And I have no issues with smokers,” he wrote.

The rapper clarified that his decision was personal and not influenced by anyone. He added that he holds nothing against those who still smoke.

This revelation comes just days after Zlatan shared how fatherhood at 25 reshaped his lifestyle and mindset.

Speaking on the Is This A Safe Space? podcast, the Zanku crooner said becoming a dad made him realize how serious life had become, even though he was not fully prepared for it.

He admitted that the birth of his son in London came with financial pressure, revealing that at some point, he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to meet up with responsibilities.

“When I became a father, everything changed. I started thinking differently, and some of my old habits had to stop,” he said.

Zlatan also noted that fatherhood helped him grow emotionally and financially, leading him to make better life choices.
