Defending champions Côte d’Ivoire have announced their final 26-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Head coach Emerse Fae handed major recalls to Wilfried Zaha and Jean-Michaël Seri. Zaha, who has been in excellent form for Charlotte FC with 10 goals and six assists in the MLS, returns to the national team after almost two years away.
Seri also makes his comeback following a long injury spell. However, Fae made several surprising omissions, including Simon Adingra, the Best Young Player at the last AFCON, along with Nicolas Pépé and Jérémie Boga, both of whom have been active for their clubs this season.
Côte d’Ivoire will compete in Group F, facing Cameroon, Gabon, and Mozambique as they begin their title defence.
