Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has ignited fresh controversy after publicly accusing his father, Me Olalomi, of betrayal and exploitation.
In an emotional social media outburst, the singer alleged that his father took his shoes, clothes, and other personal belongings without consent. Portable compared his experience to that of late singer Mohbad, claiming his father was overly interested in his property rather than his wellbeing.
Portable further stated that his life was more stable when his father was not actively involved. He accused him of failing to support his education, refusing to fund his tailoring apprenticeship, and abandoning him during police-related issues.
The singer also claimed he was repeatedly cheated while trying to build a house, alleging inflated costs and financial manipulation. He warned his father to stay out of his life, insisting he would not allow himself to suffer the same fate as Mohbad.
