Yomi Fabiyi Vows to Defy Court Order Restricting Him from Mentioning Mohbad’s Widow

Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has openly declared that he will not comply with a Lagos court order restraining him from speaking publicly about Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of late singer Mohbad, and their son, Liam.

Recall that the Ikeja Magistrate Court had issued a one-year restriction order against Fabiyi and four others, barring them from making comments or inciting actions against Wunmi and her child. The ruling was intended to protect them from harassment, threats, and public attacks following the controversies surrounding Mohbad’s tragic death and the paternity dispute over his son.

However, in a recent video shared on TikTok, Fabiyi insisted he would not be silenced, stressing that his actions were lawful and of public importance.

“I Will Keep Mentioning Your Name” – Fabiyi Tells Wunmi

Fabiyi accused Wunmi of using the court order as a means to evade police investigation and labeled her actions as a “misuse of power.”

He stated:
“I have never committed a crime by mentioning your name, Wunmi. I will tell the judge that I will continue to mention your name, and I will give my reasons. The way I have been mentioning your name is legitimate and lawful. This is a public matter of great importance, and I will not stop.”

The actor further recalled that Wunmi herself had publicly mentioned his name in media interviews while Mohbad’s death case was unfolding.

“Wunmi, you went to get a court order that I and some others should not mention your name again, but I will continue to do so. Were you not in the house when Mohbad died? Have you forgotten that you also went to media houses and mentioned my name? Let us meet in court.”

Fabiyi concluded by stressing that the issue was not personal but centered on justice for Mohbad, whom he described as an “innocent boy who died untimely.”
