Wikki Tourists defender, Mohammed Guda, has attributed his team’s 2-1 defeat to El-Kanemi Warriors to sheer bad luck, insisting that the players gave their all on the pitch.
The loss, which came after another hard-fought contest, extended Wikki Tourists’ winless streak to six matches, putting pressure on the team as they continue to search for form in the ongoing campaign.
Speaking after the match, Guda expressed disappointment over the result but maintained faith that the club would soon bounce back stronger.
“We gave everything, but football can be unpredictable,” he said in a post-match interview.
“We just need to stay focused and keep working hard.”
The defender also sent a message of reassurance to the club’s supporters, urging them to remain patient and continue to back the team despite their current struggles.
“I appeal to our fans to remain calm, keep supporting and praying for us. Better results will come, Insha Allah,” Guda added.
Wikki Tourists will next face Shooting Stars at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi, where they hope to end their winless run and reignite their season.
