Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Neysom Wike, former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and Vice President, Kashim Shettima, gathered for the birthday celebration of the Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, in Lagos on Saturday.
Fayose celebrated his 65th birthday surrounded by family and friends, with numerous dignitaries in attendance.
In a Facebook post, Saraki expressed, “It was a pleasure to join His Excellency, Ayo Fayose, along with his family, friends, political associates, and other dignitaries in Lagos today to celebrate his 65th birthday.”
The DAILY POST highlights that the birthday event in Lagos coincided with the National Elective Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Wike’s faction attempted to halt the convention through court orders, while the Umar Damagum-led faction proceeded with the event.
Additionally, the party announced the expulsion of Wike, Fayose, and other senior members over alleged anti-party activities.
