Popular Nigerian activist and social media influencer, VeryDarkMan (VDM), has sparked massive reactions online after claiming he found a strange adult item inside the wardrobe of his hotel room while on a business trip to China.
In a viral video posted on social media, VDM explained that he was checking the wardrobe for an electric iron when he unexpectedly discovered the unusual object. Shocked by the discovery, he described the situation as “fishy and scary,” expressing concern that it might have been a deliberate setup.
To verify if it was part of the hotel’s standard room setup, VDM said he visited his friend’s room—located in the same hotel—but found no such item there. Feeling uneasy, he immediately reported the incident to the hotel’s front desk, where staff members appeared equally surprised and denied any knowledge of how the object got there.
The influencer, who is currently in China for meetings with Nigerian business traders, suggested that the incident might have been a form of trap, especially given his personal efforts to stay disciplined and avoid certain habits.
The revelation has since ignited a wave of mixed reactions online. While some Nigerians found humor in his ordeal, others described the experience as deeply unsettling.
