Nigerian singer Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, better known as Reekado Banks, has clapped back at a social media troll who mocked him for attending church, insinuating that his move was due to failure in the music industry.
The controversy erupted after content creator Kesari announced on Instagram that he was contemplating getting closer to God but was undecided between Christianity and Islam. Reekado Banks, in a show of support, invited him to his church.
A video that quickly went viral captured the duo worshipping together, drawing mixed reactions from fans. While many praised the singer for openly expressing his faith, a troll’s cutting remark — “When they fail at music, they start going to church” — stirred debate.
Reekado Banks, a former Mavin Records star, wasted no time firing back. In a video posted online, he vented his frustration, saying:
“Fcck that Nigga whose comment I saw that made me feel down today. My friend called me and told me to delete it. Fcck you!”
