Toke Makinwa Reveals Why She Stopped Breastfeeding Her Daughter After Three Weeks

Nigerian media personality and lifestyle influencer, Toke Makinwa, has revealed the reason she stopped breastfeeding her newborn daughter, Yakira Eliana, just three weeks after delivery.

The award-winning TV host, who welcomed her daughter in August 2025, made the revelation during a Snapchat Q&A session with her followers.

When a fan asked if she was still breastfeeding, Toke responded,

“Cos my breast milk output stopped after three weeks. Any other question?”

Her response comes months after she stunned fans with her baby bump photos, which generated massive social media buzz and speculation over her baby’s paternity.

In recent interviews, Toke has opened up about her journey to motherhood, describing it as both challenging and deeply healing. She admitted to facing infertility struggles, societal pressure, and emotional battles, but said her daughter has become her biggest source of peace and transformation.

“Motherhood has brought me so much healing. My daughter is my peace, my gift, and my joy,” she said in a previous podcast episode.

In her podcast, Toke Moments, the outspoken media star revealed that she is open to remarrying, even if it means being a second, third, or fourth wife.

According to her, companionship and shared love matter more than public opinion.

“Love and peace are what matter most, not people’s judgment,” she noted.

Toke’s candidness about motherhood, relationships, and healing continues to inspire many Nigerian women. Fans have praised her for breaking societal barriers and embracing vulnerability in her journey as a new mother.
