The Federal Government has declared that President Bola Tinubu is maintaining a calm and composed demeanor in the face of recent security-related threats from United States President Donald Trump. The assurance was given by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, following a meeting with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Minister Idris reaffirmed President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to ensuring Nigeria becomes a safer nation for every citizen, irrespective of tribe, religion, or other differences. He emphasized that the President is strategically focused on securing the country.
“Mr President is calm. He is looking at the whole situation; he is looking at the ways and means of ensuring that the international community understands what we have been doing,” Idris stated.
Highlighting the administration’s proactive steps, the Minister pointed to the recent overhaul of the nation’s security architecture. “Only last week or two weeks ago, Mr President in his own desire to rekindle the security architecture of the country, reinvigorated the hierarchy of the armed forces. A new Chief of Defence Staff and other service chiefs were appointed.”
This move, according to the government, is a clear demonstration of President Tinubu’s assiduous efforts to guarantee that Nigeria remains a secure country for all.
