Former Zamfara Central Senator, Kabiru Marafa, has launched a scathing attack on President Bola Tinubu, accusing him of abandoning loyal allies after rising to power.
In an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Marafa described Tinubu as a “use-and-dump” leader who sidelined Zamfara despite the state being one of the only two North-West states where he secured victory in the 2023 elections.
The outspoken lawmaker, who recently resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC), cited worsening insecurity, injustice, and federal neglect of Zamfara as key reasons for his decision.
“I’m not in politics to serve anybody. My parents were not slaves. I have never been a slave to anybody; I am in politics to impact the lives of my people,” Marafa declared.
He faulted Tinubu’s appointments, lamenting that Lagos — where Tinubu lost — received multiple ministerial slots, while Zamfara got only one: the Minister of State for Defence.
Marafa argued that this imbalance mirrors the treatment of other APC heavyweights like Nasir El-Rufai and Abdullahi Ganduje.
“Mr President is a use-and-dump leader. That is the truth about it,” he fumed.
Though he has left APC, Marafa revealed he is yet to decide on his next political move but emphasized he would continue fighting for equity and justice for his people.
