Super Eagles players will earn $30,000 each for qualifying for the Round of 16 at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, following an agreement with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Reports reveal that the NFF initially proposed a $15,000 bonus per player, but the offer was rejected. After negotiations, both parties settled for $30,000, an improvement on the bonuses received at the last AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire.
It was also gathered that agreements have been reached on bonuses for the later stages of the tournament.
Nigeria secured qualification to the knockout stage after a tense 3–2 victory over Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles. Eric Chelle’s men will face Uganda’s Cranes in their final group match as they prepare for the next phase of the competition.
