Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has sparked fresh controversy after a viral video showed her in visible distress, telling onlookers, “In Ned’s house I am nothing, but in my house I am a queen.” The clip, which circulated widely on social media, shows family and friends attempting to console her.
Her brother, Sammie West, who was filmed confronting a man the family identified as one of the senator’s associates, has taken to Instagram Stories with explosive claims. Sammie alleges that Senator Ned Nwoko physically assaulted Regina — saying the lawmaker “beat her and smashed her head on the wall” before fleeing the scene and allegedly dispatching men to intimidate the family.
Angry and protective, Sammie vowed he would have “broken the lawmaker’s jaw” had he met Nwoko that day. In a raw post he wrote, “Makachi! E pain me say una wan finally laugh my sister… Anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood!” The posts have intensified public debate over domestic violence, power dynamics in high-profile marriages, and the safety of young women in relationships with wealthy, older partners.
Neither Senator Ned Nwoko nor Regina Daniels has released a formal, verifiable statement to clarify the allegations; social media posts and family footage remain the primary sources of the claims for now. The matter has divided online opinion — between those who sympathise with Regina and others who question motive and context — while many call for an independent investigation to establish the facts.
