A young Nigerian cleaner has stirred massive online debate after a viral interview where he boldly declared he could never date a woman earning ₦100,000 per month.
In the trending video titled “POV: men if roles were reversed”, the man insisted that ₦100,000 was far too small for a woman to live on, stressing that it “cannot even fill my gas.”
According to him, for any woman to qualify as his partner, she must earn at least ₦2 million monthly.
But the most shocking moment came when he was asked about his own financial status. In a twist that stunned viewers, he admitted his current account balance is just ₦1,270.
The clip has since gone viral, sparking mixed reactions across social media. While some Nigerians blasted him for being unrealistic and entitled, others argued that his statement reflects the high cost of living and changing expectations in relationships today.
The debate rages on: Should income level really determine love and relationships, or is the cleaner simply chasing clout?
