Shock as Court Evicts Comedian Ali Baba from Multi-Million Naira Victoria Island Mansion

Nigerian comedy legend, Ali Baba, has reportedly been evicted from his luxurious multi-million naira mansion in Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to a report by Legit NG, the eviction was carried out by bailiffs of the Federal High Court after a writ of possession was signed on August 15, 2025.

The property, located at 324A Akin Ogunlewe Street, was originally acquired by Ali Baba and his company, XQZMOI TV, in 2021 from the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) for ₦220 million.

AMCON maintains the acquisition was part of a debt recovery process against Harold Expansion Industries Nigeria Limited. However, Harold Expansion disputes the claim, insisting that they had already made repayments. Their lawyer, Benjamin Olayiwola Sadibo, argued that the property was wrongfully sold.

Amidst the controversy, Ali Baba and his management are yet to issue an official statement regarding the eviction, sparking mixed reactions across social media.
