Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has publicly expressed her sorrow over the recent death of a loved one. In an emotional Instagram post, she revealed that last Sunday evening became a dark moment in her life after losing someone very dear to her.
Edochie thanked her fans and friends for their support during this difficult time, saying, “Last Sunday evening turned black for me. I lost a dear one so close to my heart. Even in pain, I whisper it is well with my soul.”
She continued, “This wasn’t seen coming. I can’t thank you all enough who called and sent messages to know why I have not been posting. Thank you.”
In a separate post, Edochie also defended May Yul-Edochie’s decision to retain her surname following her divorce. She questioned the negativity surrounding this choice, stating, “Her name remains Queen May Yul Edochie even after the divorce because you did not give her the name.”
Rita urged her followers to focus on their own journeys rather than spreading hate, emphasizing that everyone has their own unique time to shine.
