French champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have officially signed Super Falcons forward Rasheedat Ajibade on a two-year deal. The WAFCON-winning captain joins after leaving Atlético de Madrid, where she made her mark in Spain’s top flight.
Ajibade, who was crowned Player of the Tournament at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, expressed her excitement:
“I’m deeply honoured to join PSG. This is a big step for me, and I’m ready to give my all to help the club win titles and inspire young footballers in Nigeria and beyond.”
The 24-year-old will link up with fellow Nigerian Jennifer Echegini, as PSG strengthen their squad to challenge once again for the Ligue 1 Féminine title.
Ajibade’s move marks another milestone for Nigerian women’s football, showcasing the growing influence of Super Falcons players in Europe.
