Presidency Breaks Silence on Rising Insecurity

The Presidency has finally addressed the recent wave of killings and kidnappings in Kebbi, Kwara and other parts of Nigeria, assuring citizens that the Tinubu administration fully recognises the severity of the escalating insecurity.
In an interview on Arise TV, Presidential Adviser Bayo Onanuga said the government is not dismissing Nigerians’ concerns and is actively working to curb the crisis. He added that President Tinubu is expected to speak directly to the nation after ongoing security consultations.
The reaction follows nationwide tension after schoolchildren were abducted in Kebbi and Niger, and church worshippers attacked in Kwara. Meanwhile, 38 abducted CAC members in Kwara regained freedom after five days in captivity.
