Nigerian music star Peter Okoye has expressed deep heartbreak following the tragic road accident involving world heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.
The accident occurred in the Makun area of Ogun State when the Lexus SUV conveying Joshua reportedly collided with a stationary truck. While the boxer sustained minor injuries, two occupants of the vehicle, identified as Latz and Sina, lost their lives.
Reacting on his Instagram page, Peter Okoye described the incident as devastating, saying it shattered him completely. He said he was still struggling to believe that Joshua’s close friends were gone.
Peter sent words of comfort to the boxer, noting that the memories and love left behind by the deceased would never fade. He also expressed gratitude to God for sparing Joshua’s life and prayed for strength, guidance and comfort as he mourns his loss.
The incident has continued to attract emotional reactions from fans and public figures across Nigeria and beyond.
