The Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, recently paid a courtesy visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, accompanied by his aide, Yunusa Tanko, and Lagos State gubernatorial candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.

Obi shared details of the visit on his X handle, stating that they also met with the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, at his private residence in Bodija, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

During these meetings, the discussions centered on the current state of the nation and the importance of unity, love, fairness, and justice among citizens.

Peter Obi expressed his belief in the potential for a competent team to foster a new Nigeria, emphasizing the need for capacity, compassion, and commitment to progress.

Sharing photos from the visit, Obi noted, “In both visits, we were fortunate to discuss the state of our nation and how all of us can live in unity, love, fairness and justice progressively together.”

The meetings highlight a collaborative approach towards addressing national issues and building a cohesive society.
