The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Executive Committee (NEC) has set up a 13-member National Caretaker Committee to oversee party affairs until a national convention is conducted. The move follows the expiration of the PDP National Working Committee’s tenure on December 9, 2025. Hon. Abdulrahman Mohammed leads the committee as Chairman, with Senator Samuel Anyanwu as Secretary. Other members include Kamaldeen Ajibade, Hon. Umar M. Bature, Dr. Kyari Grema, and Prof. Adenike Ogunse among others.
The caretaker committee will manage the party for 60 days, ensuring the completion of pending congresses and the organization of the national convention, marking a critical step in preparing the PDP for upcoming political engagements.
