Outrage in Enugu as Mother Confronts Teacher Who Brutally Flogged Her 3-Year-Old Daughter

A disturbing video has surfaced online showing a furious mother storming her daughter’s school in Enugu after discovering that her three-year-old child had been brutally flogged by a teacher.

The visibly enraged woman said she received a distress call informing her that her daughter had been severely beaten by her teacher, leaving the little girl unable to walk. In the viral footage, the mother displayed the visible bruises and red marks covering her daughter’s body, evidence of the alleged assault.

According to eyewitnesses, the teacher’s action has sparked outrage among parents and the public, with many condemning the excessive use of corporal punishment on such a young child.

The mother alleged that the school authorities attempted to protect the teacher instead of taking immediate disciplinary action. “They are trying to shield the teacher,” she lamented, vowing to ensure that justice is served. “My daughter can’t walk again after the flogging. I will take this up with the authorities until this teacher faces the law,” she said.

The heartbreaking incident has ignited calls for stricter regulations against corporal punishment in schools across Nigeria, with many demanding that the Enugu State Ministry of Education and child protection agencies step in.

Child rights advocates have also condemned the incident, emphasizing that the teacher’s actions violate both the Child Rights Act and the Universal Basic Education (UBE) Code of Conduct, which prohibit any form of abuse or inhumane treatment of pupils.

As the video continues to circulate on social media, Nigerians have expressed anger and demanded immediate investigation and punishment for the teacher involved.

The Enugu State Police Command is yet to release an official statement on the matter as at the time of this report.
