Ossai Ovie Critiques Asake’s New Tattoos: A Disappointment or Personal Expression?

The Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, has publicly criticized internationally recognized singer Asake, also known as Ololade Mr Money, over his recent tattoo choices.

Asake, who recently shared images of his extensive new tattoos on social media, has left many fans surprised by the extent of his body art, which covers significant portions of his face and body.

Ossai Ovie expressed his disappointment in a lengthy Facebook post, condemning the singer for adopting what he views as Western practices and forgetting his roots. He remarked, “Asake is exhibiting def*rmity and I’m disappointed in him. Asake was a poor boy whom God raised from grass to grace. Today, look at him and what he has become because of western exposure.”

He further questioned Asake’s motivations for the tattoos, suggesting they might be signs of midlife anxiety. “People like this grow up frustrated and unhappy. This is why God doesn’t bless some persons because He knows they will be worse in the future with fame and money. Indeed Asake is lonely at the top. I am really disappointed,” he added.

The post has sparked a range of reactions online. Chichi Ogonna Mba commented, “Let his God be dat disappointed, cos you are not perfect.” Felix Anasiudu shared a metaphor about success and the emptiness at the top, while Sam E Oscar cautioned against judging people by their appearances, stating that many with tattoos can be kind and generous. Chinedu Eze also weighed in, asserting, “God is not the source of his wealthy. Not every money is gotten from God.”
