Galatasaray’s bid to sign Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika has hit a major setback after Club Brugge placed a €30 million valuation on the player. The Turkish champions, who have tracked Onyedika since the summer, are reportedly unwilling to meet the Belgian club’s asking price.
According to reports from Turkey, Galatasaray had budgeted between €20 million and €25 million for a central midfielder, creating a significant gap in negotiations. Club Brugge’s continued participation in the UEFA Champions League has further complicated talks, with the Belgian side reluctant to sell before February.
Onyedika, currently on international duty at AFCON, remains highly rated following his strong performances for Brugge, particularly in Europe. Despite interest from Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk, the club is now considering alternatives, including Atalanta midfielder Ederson.
With other European clubs monitoring the situation, Onyedika’s future is likely to remain a major talking point in the transfer market.
