Former aide to the late ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Lauretta Onochie, has asserted that President Bola Tinubu has no path to return in 2027, declaring his departure from power as inevitable.

Trendgoss reports that Onochie made these statements while addressing supporters at a recent political gathering, where she explicitly distanced herself from Tinubu‘s administration.

The former presidential aide expressed regret for her role in supporting Tinubu’s 2023 election campaign, admitting her remorse.

Addressing her loyalists, she stated, “Tinubu has no pathway to return in 2027. We are not saying maybe or maybe not. He’s gone. Tinubu is gone.”

“He was elected by the people including me standing here and shamefully too and regrettably too.”

Onochie, who previously served as Social Media Aide and later as Chairperson of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) board, insisted that her followers would stand firm without resorting to insults.

She expressed confidence that Tinubu would not return in the 2027 presidential election.

She added, “We will work gently. We are not going to be running around or doing whatever they are doing. We are not going to go with them.”

“We will just march on in 2027 and I think 2027 he will be gone. It is non-negotiable. He is gone already.”
