Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has dismissed critics of his administration as “barking dogs,” claiming their attacks stem from intimidation by his government. Speaking at the commissioning of the 3.5km Laderin–Prof. Wole Soyinka Train Station Road in Abeokuta, Abiodun promised to continue delivering roads weekly for the next two months.
He highlighted that over his six-year tenure, his administration has constructed at least 1,600 kilometres of roads, surpassing the previous two administrations combined. Despite social media outcry over poor roads in communities bordering Lagos State, Abiodun emphasized tangible results over online criticisms.
The governor’s remarks followed the release of Pastor Kayode Olawoye and two associates by DSS, after Olawoye exposed road conditions in Ogun, gaining national attention online. Abiodun insisted his administration will focus on infrastructure delivery rather than engage detractors.
