The Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF), led by its Chairman and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the appointment of Ezekiel Gomos as the first Director-General of the Forum’s secretariat. The decision, announced by Yahaya’s media aide, Ismaila Misilli, marks a strategic move to strengthen the institution’s capacity and enhance coordination among the 19 northern states.
Gomos, a former Secretary to the Plateau State Government, brings decades of experience in economic development, governance reform, and policy strategy. His background includes pivotal roles at NNDC, WAEC, and the Jos Business School, alongside nearly 20 years as a resource person at NIPSS, Kuru.
With strong academic and executive training from ABU Zaria, University of East Anglia, Harvard Kennedy School, and others, Gomos is expected to lead regional policy integration and drive collective development efforts across the North.
