Indian authorities have deported a Nigerian national, Onyeukwu Victor, due to visa overstay and alleged involvement in drug distribution activities.
The deportation was executed by the Hyderabad police on Wednesday, as reported by The Times of India.
Victor entered India on a student visa in 2021 but reportedly stayed beyond the expiry of his visa in 2024.
Investigations conducted by the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing indicated that he allegedly collaborated with drug suppliers and facilitated the delivery of drugs to clients in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
Authorities apprehended Victor in Banjara Hills. Although no narcotics were found on him, he was unable to provide valid documentation or justify his continued stay in the country.
Verification confirmed his visa overstay, leading to his deportation.
