Former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has warned that Nigeria is in serious danger, calling for collective action to rescue the nation. Speaking at a colloquium held to mark his sixtieth birthday, Tambuwal said the country urgently needs honest leadership, responsible governance and national unity.

He noted that Nigeria has drifted far from the ideals of its founding fathers and stressed that recovery can only begin when leaders and citizens admit that governance has fundamentally failed. According to him, national salvation must be a collective effort beyond political divisions.

The event drew prominent political figures, including former presidents, governors, lawmakers and religious leaders. Former President Goodluck Jonathan, Atiku Abubakar and David Mark all praised Tambuwal’s leadership qualities, while urging him to continue contributing to national development as Nigeria searches for a way forward.
