Niger CP Charges 232 Newly Recruited Constables to Uphold Discipline, Shun Corruption

The Niger State Commissioner of Police, CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, has charged 232 newly recruited police constables to uphold professionalism, discipline, and integrity as they begin active service in the state.

The new officers, part of the 370 graduates from the Police Training School, Minna, were officially received at the Niger State Police Command Headquarters by DCP Ibrahim Adamu and DCP Aminu Garba on behalf of the Commissioner.

In his address, CP Elleman congratulated the recruits and expressed appreciation to the Inspector General of Police and the Police Service Commission for strengthening the command’s workforce.

He emphasized that the addition would enhance the quality and reach of policing across Niger State, urging the new constables to “imbibe and act according to the tenets of the Police manuals, rule of law, and standard operating procedures.”

Elleman further warned against corruption and unprofessional conduct, stressing that any officer found guilty of misconduct would face severe disciplinary measures.

He encouraged the officers to be good ambassadors of the Nigeria Police Force and the nation as a whole.
