Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Thanks Atiku, Saraki, and Others for Support During Senate Suspension

Embattled Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has expressed her gratitude to prominent Nigerians who supported her during her six-month suspension from the Senate.

Among those she thanked are former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-Senate President Bukola Saraki, and former Education Minister Oby Ezekwesili, along with many others who stood by her side.

The suspension was a result of her failure to substantiate her sexual harassment allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio. During this period, her office was sealed off.

On Tuesday, the National Assembly’s Sergeant at Arms unsealed her office, allowing Natasha to resume her duties. In a statement to journalists, she acknowledged that the support from figures like Atiku and Saraki pressured Akpabio to reconsider his stance.

“I thank people like aunty Oby Ezekwesili, sister Aisha, Mama Pee, Dr Abiola, Peter d Rock, Yemi of Enough is Enough, Femi Falana, and many others that I can’t even call,” Natasha stated. “Atiku Abubakar, Saraki, and many others have shown that voices matter, and the pressure from political parties like the LP, ADC, and my beloved PDP, as well as the Nigerian Bar Association and the Nigerian Labour Congress, made it clear to the Senate President that he could not continue this way.”
