MC Oluomo Debunks Viral Photo Linking Him to Peter Obi Ahead of 2027 Elections

The President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has publicly denied claims that he met with former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.

The clarification comes after a viral image surfaced online, seemingly showing MC Oluomo with Obi, sparking speculation that the Lagos socialite may be shifting his political support away from President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a post shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday, MC Oluomo dismissed the image as fabricated. He confirmed he is currently abroad and reaffirmed his unwavering support for President Tinubu and his Hope Agenda.

“I, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), National President of NURTW, have taken notice of a manipulated image and false news circulating on social media,” he said. “The report falsely claims that Peter Obi paid homage to me and vowed to work with me. This report is entirely false and without basis.”

MC Oluomo further stated that multiple fact-checking platforms have already debunked the claim, confirming that the photo was photoshopped and that there is no evidence of any meeting or message from Obi.

He urged the public to ignore the false news and rely on credible sources of information, emphasizing that his political loyalty remains firmly with President Tinubu.
