Preparations are underway for a rare and historic wedding ceremony involving nine children of the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle.
An invitation card circulating on social media confirms that the weddings will take place on February 6 at the Abuja Central Mosque, with proceedings scheduled to begin at 1:30pm. The minister’s children listed for the ceremony are Ibrahim, Suraj, Safiya, Maryam, Aisha, Fahad, Muh’d, Nana Firdausi and Farida.
Confirming the development, the Zamfara State APC spokesperson, Yusuf Idris, disclosed that the celebrants comprise five sons and four daughters. He noted that preparations for the event have reached an advanced stage, assuring that all arrangements are in place for a smooth and well-coordinated ceremony.
The wedding is expected to draw a large crowd, including family members, political associates and well-wishers from across Nigeria, making it one of the most talked-about society events of the year.
