This arrangement parallels the fee Roma owes Everton for Evan Ferguson’s permanent transfer.
Roma is prepared to cover half of Zirkzee’s salary during the loan period, prioritizing him over other targets such as Tottenham’s Mathys Tel, and may terminate Ferguson’s current loan to make room for the Dutch striker.
The move would see Zirkzee return to Serie A, where he previously excelled and revived his career.

Despite Roma’s interest, United has internal concerns. Reports from England suggest the club might postpone Zirkzee’s departure until summer due to increasing squad challenges.
