The Lagos State House of Assembly has annulled the nomination of Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu as the General Manager of the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPAA).
This decision was made during the Assembly’s plenary session on Monday.
According to a statement released to DAILY POST on Monday evening, the chairman of the screening committee, Hon. Mojeed Fatai, reported that the committee presented its findings, leading to the unanimous adoption of the nullification of Adelabu’s nomination.
Fatai clarified that Adelabu had been acting as the General Manager since 2021 without ever appearing before the House for the constitutionally mandated confirmation.
He emphasized that this procedural oversight was a significant reason for the committee’s recommendation to revoke her appointment.
The plenary session, presided over by the Speaker of the House, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, approved the committee’s recommendation and officially nullified Adelabu’s nomination.
In contrast, the House confirmed the appointments of Mrs. Adeyemo Khadijat as Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Water Regulatory Commission and Mrs. Adepoju Adebajo as Chairman of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund.
