A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and member of the Obidient movement, Dickson Iroegbu, has criticized President Bola Tinubu for his delayed response to Nigeria’s insecurity challenges.
Speaking on Friday as a guest on Prime Time, a programme on Arise Television monitored by DAILY POST, Iroegbu expressed his concerns over the escalating security issues nationwide.
Recent reports by DAILY POST indicate that within a week, bandit attacks occurred in Kebbi, Kwara, and Niger states, resulting in the kidnapping of numerous schoolgirls and Christian worshippers.
In response to these events, Iroegbu stated, “I think the President is rather waking up too late to this insecurity issue, something he should have done since.
“The people of Nigeria want to unite and indeed look for solutions to these issues we are faced with.
“Also calling the attention of APC members and supporters that propaganda won’t work in the same way that economic gains won’t work.
“Let’s stop and realize we have a problem with governance in Nigeria and there is a need for us to tackle it.”
