Reality TV star and media personality Mercy Eke has shared her stance on motherhood, revealing she is ready to have children even outside marriage. Speaking in a recent interview, the BBNaija winner said she had planned to get pregnant this year but circumstances changed her plans. Mercy stressed that she is financially stable, goal-driven, and capable of raising up to three children on her own.
In her words, she said:
“I’m ready to have a child outside marriage, this year I wanted to have a baby, something happened and I had to choose between that and the baby. At this point, I think if I get pregnant now, I’m just going to have my baby. I have worked so hard, and I think I can take care of myself and three kids. I’m a goal-oriented person that always sets things ahead for myself.”
She added that societal stigma around single motherhood only applies to those without stability. While marriage remains an option, Mercy said she has not yet met the man she truly wants, noting that some suitors are motivated by the wrong intentions. Despite this, she believes she can still find the right partner after becoming a mother. Her comments have sparked discussions on independence and modern family choices.
