Nollywood actor and singer Bobby Maris, husband to actress Uche Ogbodo, has stirred intense online reactions after openly encouraging women to go for cosmetic surgery if they can afford it.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, Bobby said there is absolutely nothing wrong with body enhancement procedures such as BBL, liposuction, or tummy tuck, especially for women who have had children. According to him, if such procedures make a woman feel more confident, then it’s worth doing.
In his words:
“If you know you can afford a BBL, tummy tuck, liposuction, go and do it, especially after having kids. Because if you don’t, your husband might eventually leave you for a baddie. If you have money, fix your body oo. No fear. You only live once.”
His comment comes shortly after his wife, Uche Ogbodo, announced she would be undergoing another Lipo 360 surgery — her second cosmetic procedure this year. The actress previously had a BBL, which sparked wide conversation among fans and celebrities alike.
While many social media users commended the couple for their honesty about body enhancement, others criticized Bobby for promoting a mindset that could pressure women into taking unnecessary risks for beauty.
Despite the backlash, Bobby Maris has remained firm in his stance, declaring full support for his wife’s body choices and urging others to embrace whatever makes them confident and happy.
