In a dramatic and heartfelt press briefing, Senator Ned Nwoko has made a stunning declaration concerning his wife, the popular actress Regina Daniels, stating that she must undergo immediate rehabilitation to safeguard her life and mental stability for the sake of their two young children.
The lawmaker, speaking exclusively with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, revealed that his stance is based on a series of what he termed “alarming toxicology results” and a drastic change in Regina’s behaviour. He lamented that her once calm demeanour has been replaced by violent and destructive tendencies, alongside recurrent health emergencies.
“I want her alive and healthy, not just for me, but for our children,” Senator Nwoko stated with visible emotion. “We have two young kids together, and they cannot fight for themselves, and I’m going to fight for them by safeguarding their mother.”
The Senator disclosed shocking details, confirming that he has rushed Regina to Nizamiye Hospital on three separate occasions after she was found unconscious from suspected drug overdoses. “I have lived with this problem for eight good months. On three occasions, I had to carry her to Nizamiye Hospital unconscious… you can go verify it,” he challenged.
He presented medical reports to support his claims and issued a bold challenge to Regina’s family, whom he accused of living in denial. “If her mother and those supporting her really want to prove me wrong, let them arrange for her to visit any toxicologist of their choice. I will pay.”
Senator Nwoko pointed an accusing finger at some of Regina’s siblings and their friends, claiming they are the negative influence exploiting her resources to supply her with drugs. He described the recent denial by Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, as “baseless distractions,” and condemned her allegation about his son’s death as an “inhuman attack.”
This revelation comes amid a public marital dispute where Regina accused the Senator of assault, a claim he firmly denies, maintaining that her recent conduct is a cry for help linked to substance abuse.
