Nigerian billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, stole the spotlight at the wedding of his daughter, Temi Otedola, to Afrobeats star Mr Eazi with an emotional speech that drew both laughter and admiration from guests.
In his heartfelt remarks, Otedola showered praise on his wife, Nana Otedola, acknowledging her sacrifices in raising their children while he focused on building wealth for the family.
“I must give credit to Nana, because when we had Temi, I was busy looking for money to look after them, and she sacrificed everything — all my bad habits — to make sure they were well looked after and spent every minute with them,” Otedola said.
Turning to his daughter, the billionaire businessman commended her for choosing Mr Eazi, describing the groom as “a great guy from a decent family.” He then offered marriage advice that quickly went viral.
“Temi, I wish you all the best in your future endeavours. You found yourself a great guy from a decent family. One thing I will advise you is to succumb to the whims and caprices of your husband. He is your husband, he is your boss, there’s no more daddy — don’t call me,” he declared, sparking laughter across the hall.
To seal the moment, Otedola presented the newlyweds with his memoir, Making It Big: Lessons From A Life In Business, which was unwrapped immediately during the ceremony.
