He Bullied My Son, He’s Not Innocent – Mohbad’s Dad lashed at Naira Marley

Joseph Aloba, father of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has dismissed claims by Marlian Music boss, Naira Marley, that he played no role in the challenges his son faced while alive.

In an interview with Sunday Scoop, Aloba maintained that Mohbad suffered harassment under Marley’s watch despite the artiste’s repeated denials.

He explained that he once confronted Marley after hearing troubling accounts from his son and later personally witnessed incidents that confirmed Mohbad was being mistreated.

According to him, even one of Marley’s close associates reported instances of physical assault against the late singer.

Aloba said, “I went to see Naira Marley over some of the things Mohbad had said, and that was all. But later, a lot of other things happened that I personally witnessed. There were about three other people present at the time; two of them are still alive today. They were people working with Naira Marley, even though they were younger and still under him. One of them once came to me to report that Naira Marley was beating Mohbad.

“When we went to see him to apologise, he wasn’t even speaking respectfully. People think I went there to collect money, but life is much more than just what I want to eat.”
