A Nigerian hair vendor, identified as @Kimsly Hairven, has shared a shocking story about how she unknowingly purchased stolen wigs worth millions of Naira, leading to police involvement.
In a viral TikTok video, Kimsly recounted that she bought the wigs from a woman identified as Non Chalant, who contacted her via WhatsApp. Her final transaction with the seller, worth ₦1.1 million, triggered the scandal.
After the purchase, an Instagram user tagged her in a post, accusing her of theft and of trading in stolen wigs. Alarmed, Kimsly reached out to the accuser, only to discover that the police had been searching for her over the matter.
It was later revealed that Non Chalant was an employee of another hair vendor who had been secretly stealing wigs from her boss and reselling them.
Kimsly clarified that she was eventually cleared by the original vendor after explaining her side of the story.
To prevent future occurrences, she announced that she has now engaged a lawyer to draft a sales contract, ensuring that anyone selling wigs to her must sign an agreement confirming ownership before transactions proceed.
