Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visit to the state, describing it as a powerful expression of national unity, empathy, and solidarity among Nigerians.
In an official statement issued on behalf of the government and people of Plateau State, Governor Mutfwang said the President’s presence at the final internment service of Mama Lydia Yilwatda Goshwe, the late mother of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, reflected deep respect and commitment to the unity of the nation.
“Your esteemed presence in our dear state was an immense honour and a clear demonstration of your respect, empathy, and commitment to national unity. The people of Plateau State are deeply touched by this gesture, and we do not take it for granted,” Governor Mutfwang stated.
He expressed profound gratitude to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, members of the National Assembly, state governors, and members of the Federal Executive Council who accompanied the President during the visit.
Governor Mutfwang emphasized that the people of Plateau State appreciated the President’s show of solidarity and looked forward to hosting him again soon.
“We remain grateful for your presence and solidarity. Plateau State warmly looks forward to welcoming you again soon to witness firsthand the transformation and renewed hope taking shape across the state,” he added.
