Gov Zulum Calls for Borno Peace Fast

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has requested residents to participate in a voluntary fast on Monday to seek Allah’s guidance amid ongoing security challenges in the state.

In a statewide broadcast on Saturday, Zulum stated, “Collective prayer and fasting can strengthen communal faith and bring relief to the state.”

He urged citizens to “remain calm, steadfast, and united” during these difficult times.

The governor explained that the fast is intended to unite people in prayer, “seeking divine intervention to ease difficulties facing Borno State and the country at large.”

He reassured the public of his administration’s commitment to stability, security, and welfare, emphasizing the importance of patience and calmness.

Zulum also called on religious and community leaders to support the initiative, highlighting the historical impact of collective supplication in Borno.

Furthermore, the governor promised support to farmers, stating that his administration would provide the resources needed to boost production.
