A Good Samaritan has played a crucial role in reuniting two children with their family after they were displaced along the Kaduna Expressway following a tragic road accident that claimed their mother’s life.
Reports indicate that the mother was traveling to Kaduna with her three children when a fatal car crash occurred, resulting in her death and that of one of her children.
In a video that has since gone viral, the two surviving children were seen being questioned about their address and other vital information to help locate their father and relatives. The oldest child, approximately 10 years old, shared that they reside at the Air Force Base in Kaduna State, providing details about their school and neighbors. The younger child, only about three years old, was too young to grasp the situation and could only watch as her brother responded to questions.
The Good Samaritan took to social media to spread the word, sharing the video with an influential influencer who helped amplify the message. The caption read: “According to information gathered please Sir/Ma, these children were on their way to Kaduna from holidays but had an accident along the road and their mum with a small child died in the accident process. The children said they are from Air Force Base Kaduna Block C7. Please, someone should help and look for their father or necessary relatives.”
Thanks to this effort, the children’s family was located, and they were reunited with their father. It has also been confirmed that the deceased mother has been laid to rest.
Reactions to the viral video have poured in, with many expressing their sorrow and support for the children. One user, @darmiepearl, wrote, “Lailahilaallah Subuanallah, haaa Allah please protect these kids. Guide and strengthen their father to be able to bear this and take care of these kids.” Another user, @hair__by__ariah__, shared, “As a mother, I couldn’t hold back my tears. Others emphasized the importance of teaching children essential information, such as phone numbers and addresses, to prepare them for emergencies.
