Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has boldly predicted that President Bola Tinubu will not win the 2027 presidential election, claiming the president will not only lose but finish in third place.
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, El-Rufai, a member of the coalition-adopted African Democratic Congress (ADC), revealed that he had conducted thorough political calculations before arriving at his conclusion.
“Tinubu will be third in the 2027 election. I have done my maths and I can tell you Tinubu has no pathway to win. The worst-case scenario is that there will not be any winner in the first ballot,” El-Rufai declared.
The former governor further questioned whether Nigerians have experienced improvements under Tinubu’s administration.
“Ask yourself, is your life better now under President Tinubu?” he asked.
El-Rufai added that although he played a role in Tinubu’s rise to power, the president has “derailed” and failed to govern in the best interest of Nigerians.
He emphasized that governance is about delivering results to the people and the nation, but in his view, Tinubu’s administration has not met that standard.
