The first prosecution witness, Peter Obumuneme Okoye, has told the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja that the wife of Jude Chigozie Okoye owns 800,000 shares in Northside Music Limited. Peter testified before Justice Rahman Oshodi in the ongoing trial of his elder brother, Jude Okoye, who is standing trial alongside Northside Music Limited over alleged theft exceeding $1 million.
The case is being prosecuted by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a four-count charge. Jude Okoye pleaded not guilty when the charges were read.
During cross-examination, Peter explained that the bank statements presented belonged to a joint business owned by him and his twin brother, Paul Okoye, stressing that Northside Music Limited was created for their collective interest as Psquare. He said he petitioned the EFCC after discovering alleged diversion of funds through another company.
Justice Oshodi rejected defence documents tendered from the CAC, ruling they failed to meet admissibility requirements. The trial continues in February 2026.
