Deji Adeyanju Insists Peter Obi Must Contest 2027 Presidency Election To Prove His Strength.

In a move that has set the political arena abuzz, prominent human rights activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has issued a stern and public directive to the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.

Adeyanju, in a viral social media post, insisted that Peter Obi must throw his hat in the ring for the 2027 presidential election to conclusively prove his political strength and the loyalty of his massive ‘Obidient’ movement.

The activist issued a strong warning against what he termed an “easy way out,” cautioning Obi against accepting the position of a vice-presidential running mate to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

He wrote with unwavering conviction: “Obi must be on the ballot in 2027; I want to check something. It’s Obi or nothing in 2027. He must not get the easy way out by becoming Atiku’s deputy. He can do it all by himself with his obidient mob. Go Ekuke FC, go.”

The provocative post instantly went viral, triggering a firestorm of mixed reactions from Nigerian netizens. While some supporters echoed his sentiment, others launched scathing attacks on the lawyer’s motives.

A user named Toba Popoola sarcastically recalled, “The same way you said you would trek from Abuja to Kano if he got one million votes in 2023.”

Another user, Godswill Chigozie, issued a direct threat, stating, “If them born Deji well make him mention Peter Obi to his post again. The fear of court cases is the beginning of your learning… Mumu charge and bail lawyer.”

Amid the insults, some comments reflected unwavering support for Obi. User Osamudia declared, “You think say Nigerians get time for other politicians? A free and fair election devoid of thuggery and rigging, I can bet my life, Obi will win before 2pm.”

However, critics like Paul Store dismissed Adeyanju as a “Social media lawyer,” while Timothy Aja accused him of “looking for appointment from Tinubu.”
