Dangote, NNPC Deepen Gas Deals to Power Major Industrial Expansion

Dangote Industries Limited has scaled up gas supply agreements between three key subsidiaries—Dangote Refinery, Dangote Fertiliser, and Dangote Cement—and NNPC gas units, signalling a major boost for Nigeria’s industrial energy needs.

The upgraded Gas Sales and Purchase Agreements (GSPAs) were signed at the unveiling of the NNPC Gas Master Plan 2026 in Abuja. The move is designed to support ongoing expansion projects, improve energy reliability, and advance Dangote Group’s Vision 2030.

Executives from the refinery, cement, and fertiliser businesses described the deals as a strategic step to lock in cleaner, stable gas supply for higher production capacity. The agreements also support Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) adoption and cleaner fuel use across operations.

NNPC leadership said the Gas Master Plan marks a shift from policy to execution, aiming to unlock Nigeria’s vast gas reserves and drive investments, energy security, and industrial growth. With gas positioned as the backbone of Nigeria’s transition, the Dangote–NNPC partnership reinforces confidence in long-term supply and scalable industrial output.
