Dangote Group Launches Driver Training Program Amid Rising Accident Concerns

The Dangote Group, in collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has launched a training initiative aimed at truck drivers in response to a surge in road accidents.

This initiative follows significant backlash regarding the reckless driving of the conglomerate’s truck operators, which has tragically resulted in multiple fatalities, including the sister of BBNaija winner Phyna.

Footage circulating on social media shows a gathering of Dangote truck drivers attending a lecture focused on safety measures and road safety protocols.

The training session, attended by fewer than 50 drivers, has elicited mixed reactions from the public. Some Nigerians have praised the accountability efforts, while others remain skeptical about the program’s effectiveness.

Reactions to the training have varied widely. User da.obasam commented, “Who are they deceiving?? Safety training with slippers.” Another user, nikkyabake, questioned, “Are this all their drivers? May God be our guides when going out of our houses.”

Tomisinibidapo expressed doubt, stating, “These are not the set of people driving their trucks o… The guys on the road are really very brutal… they are not this reserved.” Meanwhile, adeyinka5324 remarked, “Laago melohow many years is dangote group of company that you are just showing off safety training to drivers that don’t understand English? When you finish deceiving yourself, let us know.”
